Gynaecology Ultrasound
There are two parts to a full gynaecological ultrasound examination. Initially an overall assessment of the pelvis is done by transabdominal examination. This is then followed by a transvaginal examination after emptying the bladder. Transvaginal ultrasound is now a standard part of the examination as the vaginal probe is closer to the pelvic structures being assessed, providing us more detailed and useful information than transabdominal ultrasound.

Your doctor or Gynaecologist for a variety of Gynaecological symptoms arranges pelvic scan or other ultrasound procedure.
