Obstetric Ultrasound
Some of the pregnancy scans are offered routinely for antenatal care while others are requested by your doctor or Obstetrician when there is a concern or pre existing risk factor.

Common types of ultrasound during pregnancy include:
  • Early pregnancy/ dating scan
  • First Trimester Screening (12 weeks scan)
  • Scan for assessment prior to Amniocentesis/ CVS
  • Fetal anatomy survey (19 weeks scan)
  • Cervical length assessment for increased risk of preterm birth
  • Fetal growth and wellbeing in the late second trimester/ third trimester
  • Placental localisation
  • Multiple pregnancy assessment
