Infertility is defined as not being able to get pregnant after 12 months of having frequent, unprotected sexual intercourse. It affects approximately 1 in 6 couples of reproductive age in Australia.

Many women are referred to our clinic as they have trouble getting or staying pregnant.
A pelvic ultrasound will help rule out any structural problems, assess the follicular activity in your ovaries, and check for any underlying problems that could be affecting your fertility.

Some underlying problemsinclude:

  • Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes (please click here for HyFosy information)
  • Low follicle count in ovaries
  • Polycystic ovarian syndrome
  • Endometriosis
  • Abnormal shape of your uterus
  • Presence of fibroids
